Using Video in Office 365

The "Video" service in Office 365 can be used to post and share videos. As stated by Microsoft, Office 365 Video is "an intranet website portal where people in your organization can post and view videos. Office 365 Video is a streaming video service for your organization that's available with SharePoint Online in Office 365. It's a great place to share videos of executive communications or recordings of classes, meetings, presentations, or training sessions, for example."

How to Post a Video to Office 365

  1. Users must request a Video Channel before uploading videos. Please email windows@colostate.edu to request a channel. Be sure to include a descriptive channel name (ex: "ACNS Videos") in the email request.
  2. You will be notified when the channel is created. As the owner you can set sharing permissions and allow others to upload videos to your channel as "editors".
  3. Videos are required to meet CSU's Acceptable Use Policy.
