Quickly Resolve Names from your Outlook Address Book
By using the following keyboard shortcut, you can do a quick "lookup" to find email addresses when composing mail from Outlook or Outlook Web Access.
- Open Outlook
- Create a new mail message
- Enter a partial name in the
TO:field (such as "smith") for the message. - While your cursor is still in the
TO:field, press‹alt+k›or‹ctrl+k›. (Push and hold down thealtor thectrlbutton on your keyboard, and then press thekbutton.) - Outlook will perform a name lookup using the text that you entered. Select the name of the intended person from the list and click OK.
- The e-mail address is entered into the
TO:for you.
