Configure Entourage 2008 for Central Exchange

As of 5/26/2010, you must use Entourage 2008, Web Services Edition (or later) to connect to Central Exchange mailboxes. Please refer to the Configure Entourage 2008, Web Services Edition for Central Exchange page for setup instructions.

  1. NOTE: We recommend establishing a connection to the campus VPN prior to configuring and using Entourage. You can download the VPN Client here.
  2. Open Entourage, click on the "Tools" menu and select "Accounts".
  3. Click on the Mail tab, then click the New button.
  4. Click on "Configure Account Manually" - you should see the following screen.

  5. Under "Account name" enter a label you want to give this account connection (such as "Exchange"). This is just a label so you can enter what you want.
  6. Under "Name" enter your full name.
  7. In "E-mail Address" type your e-mail address. eName followed by @mail.colostate.edu: for example, enter jdoe@mail.colostate.edu
  8. For "Account ID" enter your eID eName. For "Domain" enter colostate.
  9. For "Password" enter your eID ePassword.
  10. Select "Save password in my Mac OS keychain."
  11. Under "Exchange Server" enter mail.colostate.edu/exchange/eName@mail.colostate.edu. For example: mail.colostate.edu/exchange/jdoe@mail.colostate.edu
  12. Select "This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)"
  13. Click on the "Advanced" tab.

  14. Under "Public folders server", enter mail.colostate.edu
  15. Select "This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)."
  16. In the middle of the screen under "LDAP server" enter LIMON.colostate.edu
  17. Select "This server requires me to log on."
  18. Do not enter anything under "Search Base."
  19. Click on "OK"
  20. Close the "Accounts" window.
  21. You may need to close and re-open Entourage in order for it to process the account.
