How to Configure Your iPhone for Mailbox Sync with Central Exchange
Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch devices are both capable of syncing with Central Exchange, provided they are running at least iPhone OS 2.0 and that you have a sufficient Internet data plan from your cell phone service provider (or a WiFi connection, in the case of the iPod Touch).
To configure your iPhone perform the following steps:
- When you select Mail for the first time or go to the Settings app and choose 'New Account', a screen appears with common email account choices. Select "Microsoft Exchange".
- Selecting Exchange gives a single configuration page, which asks for the following information. The format of the entries you should enter are included after each:
- Email address:
first.last@colostate.edu(enter your first.last address) - Domain:
colostate - Username:
eID(replace eID with your eName) - Password:
Enter your eID password - Server:
mail.colostate.edu - Touch 'Done' and the device should validate the settings and then present a new screen that has three on/off toggles for syncing e-mail, contacts, and calendar.
