What about Faculty/Staff E-mail (Lamar)?
All services provided by the Lamar server will continue indefinitely. All eIDs for faculty, staff, associates and graduate students will continue to automatically maintain a corresponding account on the Lamar server.
Should a Lamar user decide to migrate e-mail services to the central Exchange system, they will still retain their Lamar account, and will be able to continue using that account for other purposes (such as web page hosting). Functionality that a Lamar user might take advantage of today will still be fully supported and operational after migrating e-mail services to Exchange. Note that a .forward file may be created automatically in the e-mail migration process in order to forward e-mail that arrives at Lamar to the Exchange system – this is an option that will be available via the eID website.
