Change Entourage's Attachment Encoding Settings

In some instances, allowed attachments with extensions including .jpg, .pdf, and .doc may be blocked by Forefront Protection for Exchange Server when sent from Entourage 2008, Web Services Edition. Making the change listed below should allow those attachments through.

  1. From Entourage, go to Preferences... > Compose.
  2. In the "Attachments" section, select "Windows (MIME/Base64)" from the drop-down menu labeled "Encode For"
  3. Click OK.
