Configure Entourage 2004 for Central Exchange

As of 5/26/2010, you must use Entourage 2008, Web Services Edition (or later) to connect to Central Exchange mailboxes. Please refer to the Configure Entourage 2008, Web Services Edition for Central Exchange page for setup instructions.

  1. Open Entourage, click on the "tools" menu and select "accounts."
  2. Click on "Exchange" and then click "New."

  3. Click on "Configure Account Manually."

  4. Under "Account name" enter a label you want to give this account connection (such as "Exchange"). This is just a label so you can enter what you want.
  5. Under "Name" enter your full name.
  6. In "E-mail Address" type your e-mail address - your eName followed by @mail.colostate.edu: for example, enter jdoe@mail.colostate.edu
  7. For "Account ID" enter your eID eName. For "Domain" enter colostate
  8. For "Password" enter your eID ePassword.
  9. Select "Save password in my Mac OS keychain."
  10. Under "Exchange Server" enter mail.colostate.edu/exchange/ename@mail.colostate.edu. For example: mail.colostate.edu/exchange/jdoe@mail.colostate.edu
  11. Select "This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)"

  12. Click on the "Advanced" tab. Under "Public folders server" mail.colostate.edu
  13. Select "This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)."
  14. In the middle of the screen under "LDAP server" enter LIMON.colostate.edu
  15. Select "This server requires me to log on."
  16. Do not enter anything under "Search Base."

  17. Click on "OK"
  18. Close the "Accounts" window.
  19. You may need to close and re-open Entourage in order for it to process the account.
